• What will I be researching this summer: the effect of her9 mutations on the neural crest development in zebrafish in the Morris lab   

• Future goals: Medical School 

• Outside of the lab/classroom: I love the outdoors and collecting things I find while hiking/kayaking/etc. For example, one of my newest hobbies is collecting and preparing fossils. Along the same vein, I am involved in a life history stuff of a minnow at MSU that requires a great deal of fieldwork in the stream. 

• Additional thoughts: I have had the opportunity to be involved in two undergraduate research projects at MSU, but I chose KY INBRE because this will be my first opportunity to explore research that is directly related to medicine, which is what I am hoping to pursue.
