KY INBRE is pleased to announce our first ever Annual Research Conference (ARC) to be held on March 1 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Lexington, KY. This event is free and open to everyone! ALL NIGMS IDeA participants (COBRE, INBRE, CTR, Co-Funding, I-RED, Other) are encouraged to attend.
The day will feature:
Morning research and flash talks by KY INBRE-funded faculty and students. Those faculty and students who have received funding from KY INBRE are encouraged to submit an abstract for poster presentation by Feb 9 (non-presenter registration due by Feb 16). There is a space on the form to indicate if faculty members would like to be considered for a 15-minute research talk and Q&A slot and if students would like to be considered for a 3-minute flash talk (3 minutes, 1 slide, 0 questions).
Afternoon Workshops. See agenda page for details!
One-on-one Consultations. Sign up for a 20-minute slot to meet with Dr. Greg Hawk from the Predictive Analytics and Data Science (PADS) Hub, formerly known as the Applied Statistics Core during the Conference. We will contact you with your time slot.
Poster Session. Posters presented by students and postdocs are eligible for judging. Awards will be presented.
Professional headshots. If interested, please wear solid colors (no patterns). There will be a sign-up sheet to have your photo taken.
Plus lots of time to network with researchers from institutions located across Kentucky!
We are having an informal networking event on Thursday night, Feb 29 at LexLive, an entertainment venue across the street from the hotel. Entertainment package includes appetizers, non-alcoholic beverages, access to 9 lanes for bowling and an arcades games card. You need to register to take advantage of this opportunity – if you want to come, make sure you check the box on registration form!
