Abstract Eligibility
Who can submit an abstract for presentation at ARC24?
KY INBRE invites abstracts from anyone who has received KY INBRE funding in the last 2-3 years. Abstracts need to reflect work produced that incorporates our funding.
Podium Presentations
I'm submitting an abstract for poster presentation, but want to do a podium presentation. Can I do that?
Yes. No. Sort of. There is a check box on the abstract submission/registration form if you’d like to be considered. We will be offering FIVE 15-minute research talk and Q&A slots for faculty and TEN 3-minute flash talks (3 minutes, 1 slide, no questions) for students. Podium presenters will be chosen and notified after the abstract submission window closes (abstracts are due by Feb 9).
Travel Assistance
Will there be any travel funds or assistance available?
KY INBRE will cover the costs for current and previously funded INBRE investigators and their students. We may have some additional funds available to assist with travel assistance to non-KY INBRE funded faculty and students based on needs and number of attendees. Once registration closes, we will be able to make a determination of our budget and how much we can help. To help us plan, there is a place on the registration form to indicate if you would like assistance with hotel for Thursday night, Feb 29, Friday night, March 1, or both.
Workshops
I saw that you are offering Workshops in the afternoon. What are they?
As of the posting date on this webpage, we are still confirming the Workshops and presenters. We are updating our agenda page as information comes available. Please keep checking back!
